The Idu Industrial Park is being built by Zeberced Group, west of Abuja in Idu. It is well serviced by the Abuja Mass Rail Transit, which can transport passengers through the Idu Interchange to Kubwa or the International Airport, from the City Centre.
Refer to the previous Rail updates. (July 2014), (August 2014), (September 2014)
The Industrial park is being built on 245 hectares and will include additional infrastructural provisions such as a service road network, waste/treatment facilities, water depot, natural gas line and telecoms. Electricity will be produced in the energy conversion plant In Situ. The development will house no fewer than 177 factories boosting the production capacity within the Federal Capital Territory and boosting Nigerian Local Content. 40,000 people will be employed directly and hundreds of thousands of indirect employment opportunities will also be created. The Industrial Park broke ground in 2013 and as shown in the images, work is well underway.
The park however is not limited to manufacturing and will include sporting facilities, an educational centre, shopping, restaurants, parks, religious areas, exhibition, banking, administrative areas and much more.

As shown in the images above, the Industrial Park is beginning to take shape. Lots 1a/3 of the Abuja Mass Rail Transit are also progressing steadily. The culverts are all complete, right of way is complete. A significant amount of the track in this section is laid, however some sections still need track laying.
