"The Marina District of Eko Atlantic will be adjacent to the Harbour Lights district. It will have views of the ocean from one side and of the entrance to the port of Lagos on the other. This area will extend over 1,154,500 square metres and its water surface will be 76,677 square metres. The planned building plots within the Marina District will be 5,500 square metres and the average building height will be 70 metres."Source The Marina District Block I features Residential Tower Blocks with a height of 113 metres. O.T.C.E Liban (Omnium Technique d'études de la Construction) are the Engineering consultants involved. The towers were designed by Loft Architects, which are a Turkish Firm. At 113 Metres, this will make the towers in Block I some of the tallest in Nigeria, although Eko Atlantic City will feature even taller buildings in other parts of the development. The Afren Headquarters is a 15 floor office building, which is the most advanced construction project ongoing in the prestigious Eko Atlantic City. The project is being built for Oil firm Afren PLC. Work is currently ongoing on the 15th floor and the development is close to topping out. The following update is provided by Bashorun Ahmed. The tower will be in excess of 70 Metres once construction has reached the apex.

The developers are Orlean Invest (Who are behind a number of critical estates for the Oil/Gas sector such as the Onne Estate. The services and providers will be provided by Orlean Invest partners; Intel Services. The architects are Romanian designers; ART Forum. They envision that this will be a model project, from which the waters can be tested. |
