The following update, obtained from the Lagos State Government, shows the work that has been realized at the National Theatre, Location thus far. The Mile 2, Alaba and Iganmu Stations all have a similar design, whereas the National Theatre design is the only deviation from the newly built terminals thus far. The National Theatre station, is being constructed by the Chinese heavyweights CCECC.
Architecturally speaking, the National Theatre Terminal, is the best of the bunch thus far. It boasts of more open space, better finishing and most importantly it is in a nicer location. The National Theatre location is more pristine than the chaos of the Lagos-Badagry expressway route and if the National Theatre complex is redeveloped as planned, the stop will be one of the focal points along the entire blue line.
