Introduction
The following entry, marks the first post of this particular blog. This blog focuses solely on roads/bridges/flyovers in Nigeria. There are a number of road projects ongoing in Nigeria, both new builds and existing roads undergoing rehabilitation and or expansion. These projects include, but will not be limited to: Shiroro Bridge (Niger State), Loko-Oweto Bridge (Benue-Nasarawa), Enugu-Port Harcourt dual carriageway, Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Lagos-Badagary expressway, Airport road (FCT), East-West road (Niger Delta), Oporoama road (Bayelsa State), M1 & M10 (Greater Port Harcourt City), Margaret Ekpo Airport bypass (Cross River State).
M1 & M10
The M1 & M10 Highways of the Greater Port Harcourt City are currently being developed by Lubrik Construction Companythese routes connect the new city with the old city centre. For reference, Greater Port Harcourt City, is an ongoing new city development covering 40,000 hectares (1900 square km). The city is essentially being created to relieve the existing city, of internal pressures. Therefore, to achieve this, it is imperative that the old centre and the new vision function as one unit; hence the M1 & M10 are an integral part of that concept.
Below are updates from varying times during the course of the year. They show the M10 Highway. Credit for the images go to LCC and Kel4soft.
