At the end of February, we spoke about the ongoing construction works at the Asaba flyover. We are pleased to provide a recent update that shows that the project has been finalized. As we mentioned previously, it was constructed by CCC and the project is located at the Ekumeku Roundabout. The bridge is 120 metes in length and was built to the tune of 3.5 Billion Naira. The project has two on ramps of 140 metres length; therefore the total length of the infrastructure is around 400 metres total. This project joins a growing list of flyovers being constructed across the country to alleviate traffic congestion.
The project is noted as crucial as it is forms part of the South-North road network that leads from Delta State to the FCT. Other infrastructure have also been recently completed that will allow the network to flourish. As you can see in the pictures below, the flyover consists of two lanes in either direction, which is separated by a concrete median.
