Although, the Federal Government have divested a lot of investment in the Power Sector to private entities, the Hydro Electric realm, is one area in which they have maintained a large presence. This project, which is valued at $1 Billion, was funded entirely by the Federal Government. The Mambilla Hydroelectric project (3050 MW), also in Taraba State, is also being spearheaded by the Federal Government and the contract is expected to be signed, this month (October).
