The 5 star hotel will feature an health club, restaurant, business center, retail facility, spa, swimming pool and entertainment bars. Recently acquired images and drawings of the Chelsea Hotel in Ikoyi have shown that the building, which we previously thought to be a 10 floor structure, is in fact a 15 floor facility. As we mentioned in previous entries, this is a 5 star hotel that is being built beside the Osbourne Towers, on Osbourne road. It is a $25 million hotel and according to the developers (Chelsea AG), it is a 5 star hotel in the making. Read more about this hotel in our previous blog entries from December 2014 (Part 2), December 2014 (Part 1), November 2014 (Part 2) and November 2014 (Part 1). Written by T.Adeniyi for BBB

Ibadan Mall - 18,500 m2 - Ibadan - Oyo State
Jabi Lake Mall - 26,479 m2 - Abuja - FCT As mentioned in our previous entry: Jabi Lake Mall (26 479 m²) will gain the crown of Nigeria's largest mall upon completion mid next year, however it will marginally lose out to the West Hills Mall (27 700 m²) in Accra Ghana, for the title of largest in the West African region. Delta Mall - 13,980 m2 - Effurun - Delta State As we mentioned in our previous blog entry: The Delta City Mall is a $55 million retail facility being developed by South African financier; Resilient Property. The mall is situated in Effurun, Delta State, which is a gateway to the Capital, Warri. The Delta City Mall is however the largest of their current portfolio, with a total GLA (Gross Leasable Are) of 13,980 m2. As shown in the table below, that would make it the 11th largest mall in Nigeria, upon completion in March 2015. Shown above are more recent images from November 2014. Lekki Peninsula Mall - 22,000 m2 - Lagos - Lagos State The Lekki Mall is an $83 Million facility that will soon rival Persianas' Palms Shopping Mall, which is situated more than 20 kilometres away. The Palms will continue to hold sway in the Victoria Island/Lekki Phase 1 axis, particularly as the mall will be expanded to a 60,000 m2 facility sometime in the near future. However the Lekki Mall will be a valuable amenity to the residents of the Sangotedo community and surrounding areas, to the east of Victoria Island. Until the Palms in Lekki is expanded, it will also hold the title of the largest mall in Lagos alongside the Ikeja Mall, with a GLA of 22,000 m2. The mall is expected to open its doors in April 2016. The images above, show the foundation works from January 2015. Depicted in the Lamudi infographic above are the 9 tallest buildings in Africa. Seven of the Nine are in South Africa. Necom House is the tallest in Nigeria and third tallest in Africa. PSPF Towers in Tanzania is the latest entrant to the list, as construction continues at a fast pace in the East African City. The table below however shows that Lagos will be looking to challenge more in the future. Lagos Island is the historic centre of high rises in Nigeria, but the Victoria Island/Eko Atlantic City axis is where all the growth is, now and in the future. We predict that at least two buildings from Eko Atlantic City will break into the top ten tallest in Africa, in the next 10-15 years and there will be much more in the top 20-50, of Africa's tallest. For More on these growth Prospects. Visit our previous Article: What will be Nigeria's tallest building? High Rise growth in Lagos, Luanda, Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Maputo and a few other African cities will possibly see the South African monopoly diminish and the Carlton Centre should be dethroned in the foreseeable future. Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport - Birnin Kebbi
The Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi was recently commissioned in November 2014. The airport was built at a total cost of N7.8 billion. The green glass facade of the airport terminal is a distinct appearance that will distinguish it from other facilities in the country, however the inclined roof of the airport leaves a lot to be desired.

Blackborderbuild have written extensively about the ongoing expansion of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and the following image is simply another perspective or vantage of the ongoing construction work. This is not the latest imagery and the picture above is from October 2014, however we are reminded that work at the facility is at an advanced stage and the project should conclude late 2015 or early 2016 at the latest.
